FATE: THE WINX SAGA - Drama Review

The long-running Italian cartoon about a group of best-friend fairies, Winx Club, is one of the few explicitly girl-focused shows to make the transition to a darker, edgier live-action. Fate: The Winx Saga by Netflix casts the same spell on the bright, visually vibrant cartoon that Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Riverdale did on their family-friendly Archie Comics counterparts. It has a surprisingly nuanced plot that delves into the consequences of war across generations — but it comes at a cost, both for the characters and for that familiar sense of friendship and mutual support. In the first episode, we see Bloom (Abigail Cowen) moving into Alfea, a boarding school for fairies and specialists (male fairies) in the Otherworld. The first person she speaks with is a specialist named Sky (Danny Griffin), who discovers that Bloom is from the "realm" of California and that she had no idea she was a fairy three months ago. She meets her roommates, including Stella (Hannah

BUSINESS PROPOSAL (2022) - Drama Review

Business Proposal 2022 Cover

Business Proposal (2022) is the perfect drama that no one in the universe can dispute; it leads you on a journey where you begin to fantasize about yourself. Business Proposal (2022), directed by Park Seon Ho and written by Hang Sul Hee and Hong-Bo Hee, is one of the finest South Korean dramas. The genres of romance, rom-com, drama, and comedy are all covered in this drama series. Despite the lack of a compelling narrative, the rom-com will grab your heart.

Shin Ha Ri, a cash-strapped young lady working at Go Foods, is the protagonist of the Story. To spare her chaebol's daughter Jin Young Seo from a blind date and a probably arranged marriage, she goes on a blind date claiming to be her with the express purpose of being rejected. The stars were not on her side, as her date turned out to be her CEO, Kang Tae Moo.

(Kang Tae-moo) is a narcissistic, rich, workaholic, career-oriented, and Harvard graduated CEO of Go Foods yet kind, cute, and soft-hearted who just wants to escape blind dates planned by his grandfather? To make matters worse for Shin Ha Ri, he wants to marry her to escape any more blind dates, unknown to him she is pretending to be Jin Young Seo. He later comes to know her fakeness but not that she works for him and proposes to her to marry him in return for a huge amount of money thus starting a whirlwind romance and humor.

Jin Young Seo moved out of her father's house and into the neighborhood of Cha Sung Hoon, Kang Tae Moo's secretary, to avoid any more blind dates and find "the one." Cha Sung Hoon doesn’t like her for her supposed betrayal of his boss but Jin Young Seo has a huge crush on him, which leads to a succession of amusing incidents and the blossoming of love blossoms.

CAST AND ACTING:

Business Proposal 2022 Cast

In Business Proposal (2022)  Ahn Hyo Seop (Kang Tae-moo) gave his all in his performance. He had clear body language and perfect chemistry with all the characters throughout the twelve episodes. Kim Se Jeong (Shin Ha Ri) brought the drama to a new level with her goddess-like looks and confident acting. Kim Min Kyu (Cha Sung-hoon) saddened me.

His stoic and emotionless face throughout the drama made me wonder if he was forced to act a gunpoint. His acting was not at all convincing to deliver the role of a well-mannered, hardworking, extremely loyal, and calculating-minded person. In Ah (Jin Young Seo) was a great addition to the cast and perfectly balanced out Kim Min Kyu acting with her Midas touch.

REVIEW:

After a series of intense K-dramas in recent years, Business Proposal (2022) has surely lightened the atmosphere, and thankfully it is not like another cliche K-dramas. What makes it special is that it broke the long-term stereotype of a cold and dominating male lead and the typical Cinderella-type damsel in distress female lead.

The comedy was typical but the cinematography and direction took it to new heights making it a unique piece of art. The superb acting made the drama all more interesting to watch. It had everything from awesome chemistry between characters to catchy scenes and friendship goals. Also, it showed story development in love stories of secondary leads rather than only focusing on male ones making me fall in love with the director and writers.

The only drawback is the story was a bit fast-paced and it could have more episodes. A few more episodes could have done justice to the drama rather than a rushed ending.
